The Cross Timbers Rotary Club has presented a check for $10,000 to the Center for Families and Children (CCFI), to assist in the development of a former church facility into the center of operations for CCFI. The money will be used by CCFI to purchase security cameras for the facility, cameras in the play therapy room, exterior landscaping and furniture for the Youth and Family Center rooms.

Cross Timbers club president Rob Norman said  "The members of Cross Timbers Rotary Club are pleased to be a part in the development of this new home for CCFI."

CCFI was established in 1969 under the name of Juvenile Services Inc (JSI) and offers therapeutic programs for children who have experienced child abuse, neglect or other traumatic experiences, and  prevention and education services for families. The Youth and Family Center will house afterschool and summer programs, parenting classes, support groups and supervised visits and exchanges.

Cross Timbers Rotary Club raises funds for its community efforts through activities like their annual luncheon at Outback Restaurant and Le Tour de Vin wine-tasting event.
